RESUMO
Quality of life s concept is understand by World Health Organization as individuals perception of their position in life in the context of the culture and value systems in which they live and in relation to their goals, expectations, standards and concerns. The aim was to analyze the quality of life of Hospital-Dia Prof Esterina Corsini HIV/AIDS patients of Campo Grande-MS. Was administered WHOQOL-120 HIV questionnaire trough an interview process and collected sociodemographic, clinical and laboratorial data. Statical analyses was performed with p <0,05. The sample was based on 205 patients (40,8 1,8 years old, 68,8% men) and showed more patients with intermediary quality of life on physical (13,1 3,5), level of independence (12,9 2,5), social relationships (14,0 2,2), environment (12,9 1,9) and spirituality, religion and personal beliefs (12,6 2,4) domains, in psychological domain more patients reached high quality of life (14,8 2,7). Patients with age from 20 to 39 years old have better quality of life; men showed better scores on physical, psychological and spirituality, religion and personal beliefs; patients with college have better quality of life; married patients showed better quality of life on physical, psychological, level of independence and social relationships; Afro-American patients have better quality of life than those from Mulatto race; patients classified as 3,1 to 4 minimal salaries showed better score; patients with level of CD4 cells at ≥ 500 was associate with level of independence domain; viral load did not show significant association with quality of life (p >0,05); patients living with HIV from 2,1 to 5 years showed high quality of life in spirituality, religion and personal beliefs; presence of other disease and use of anti-retroviral drugs were associated with worst quality of life.
