RESUMO
There are in the humanity history, all the necessary elements to investigate its ideological structure and the manipulator ways that develop the essence of social relations. Starting by this idea, the researching has as main subject the naturalization of physical punishment as a social practice that maintain itself by a unquestionable and refined ideology in spite of being so linked to barbarity. The social relations have a scenery where elements as ideology, authority and culture make the base of the physical punishment practice and develop its naturalization; in this manner, the individual is initiated in a process of socializing that involves the mediation of social institutions where he will execute functions in the social life. In order to investigate the phenomenon, the researching has as a theoretical base the concepts developed by the Critical Theory of the Society to analyse the legitimator process of the society to make away the physical punishment practice as a violent act and hide it under pedagogical excuse compromised with the logic of the social domination reproduced historical way. The investigation set chosen were the social institutions that work as a mediator of the functional relations between the man which were pointed out the Family, the Estate, the Church and the School because they are the principal mediators of this ideological process. The History of Thematic Life was used as empirical methodology while it makes possible a reflection of the narratives that achieves representations, knowledge and valorizations and beside to the bibliography setting, it lead a fill up spaces that are able to make sense to a culture that can explain social acts, in special the phenomenon of physical punishment practice, seen by people that inherit the present life
