RESUMO

With the objective of understanding the complex of the scholarship process of a rural community, people from Ribeirão da Conceição, Carangola/MG, this research makes a foray in the fragments of the local history in a permanent dialogue with memory of those the people. People were arriving for a chat and the life that has been built there. The community shows a complex view that deserves be seen in different places and times. Each person brings a historical line emphasizes plots, hides others, ties knots, untie others, so, people believe that they could better understand their daily history better than the official speech could know or couldnt tell about. The research went through anxious ways and besides that it needs to stablish a relationship with the time, where the present and the past blended in life time. The people went ahead like characters of the history. It was possible to notice that this period (1914 to 2003) is crossed by immigrants that went away and let their marks. These people came with their own objectives and slowly they conquered the basic education. Crossing the peoples chats, teachers works and official documents was possible to understand that the country is about to have news, but it still tied to its traditions. This ambiguity indicates that the country an its subjects must not be seen with a simple look of the documents. When we are up to look at the country with sensitive eyes, we can realize that it is a movement of space-time, where the observations, intuition, creation are food for strengh, dreams and fights.
