Os significados sociais e políticos da formação por alternância : um estudo de caso em duas experiências no Estado de Santa Catarina

RESUMO

Herein, we analyze the formation by the alternation proposal and its practice from a particular case study into two experiences in southern Santa Catarina: Casa Familiar Rural (CFR)/ the warehouse Rural Familiar House and Centro de Desenvolvimento do Jovem Rural (Cedejor)/ Rural Youth Development Center located onto the slopes of Serra Geral de Lauro Müller. Based on the subjects perceptions related to the youth training which target is the whole formation involving pedagogical, cultural, social, politics and economical aspects; we evaluate their impact on living and working conditions among the subjects participating. Thereby, this thesis goal is analyzing the coherence between the speech and its uses, as well as its results within these experiences. These Formation Centers pedagogical proposal has been developed according to the Alternation Pedagogy based upon the French Maison Familiales Rurales from the 30s and has been in Brazil for 40 years. During the formation program, the adolescent spends a week in the CFR/Cedejor and two/three weeks managing a country property where he/she is able to apply his/her learning acquired in the institution. This proposal is considered as an alternative of the education for the countryside, once it offers a real possibility of: rescuing his/her citizenship, getting new knowledge, discovering new ways of working and producing, developing the sustainable family farming. And above all, it keeps the adolescent and his/her families together in their own socioeconomic environment. Partnerships involving several governmental and non-governmental organizations are held during this training process. The information was got through the application of an open-ended questionnaire (semi-structured interviews) in which 44 subjects grouped into five categories of analysis, from the two previous mentioned entities were interviewed. The results show many positive points concerning the internal consistency to the proposal. The pedagogical tools were efficient for establishing a relationship between school and families, despite limited understanding - especially from the parents, whose actions present less impact than those from the youth. In Casa Familiar Rural (CFR)/ the warehouse, the activities were adversely affected by the monitors and teachers turnover. Once it happened, it was not possible to keep a permanent staff having a deep knowledge about Alternation Pedagogy (AP). On the other hand, Cedejor experience demonstrated a greater maturity due to its team stability. Concerning the results, there was a huge worry about quantifying the projects implemented in the properties. Numbers are still difficult to be proved due to the experiment short time and also to the peculiar difficulties related to family farming. Thus, the results are almost invisible for the parents and youths perception, who emphasize much more the human aspects, such as the youth overcoming and their self-esteem improvement into the familiar relationship.
