RESUMO

The present study has as object the experience of acting as alphabetizing Programa TOPA – Todos pela Alfabetização/ Brasil Alfabetizado and had the objective evidence the meanings produced by the literacy workers individuals, in the experience of working in the program and its implications. Sense is here understood as an act of invention in the world, as the development of meaning is constituted as “human reading of the world”. This is a qualitative study, in a phenomenological approach, having as subjects of the study three alphabetizers of Rio Real, BA, who worked in the third stage of TOPA, which began, in the city mentioned, in May 2010 and ending in January 2011. Consistent with the chosen approach to scientific studies, the data were treated from the perspective of content analysis. The themes emerging from the testimonies of alphabetizers forwarded to the hermeneutic interpretation of two streams of meaning: the presentification education as a life project and the humanization of themselves with the intent from humanize the other.
