RESUMO

The following research started from theoric reflections that recommend a dinamic vision of the competences, observed as the result of the professionals act. The general goal of the study was to analyse the necessary competences of the volunteers that work at the health division at third section organizations related to HIV/Aids in Great Florianópolis Region. The methodologic elements corresponded to the qualitative and exploratory nature of the research, whose procedures adopted as investigation strategies were the interview focused on the assessment of primary data and the documental research for secundary data. The configuration of the competences and knowledge mobilized for its expression were structured following the contents analysis. The interpretation of the competences and the multiple knowledge they sustain and are mobilized by the volunteers showed that the volunteers at the organizations of the third section related ot HIV/Aids showed the connection between the idea volunteers competence and the context in which the same are put, mediated by the arise of critical events or complex situations to be faced by the subjects
