Os moldes da moda: um estudo sobre o estado dos cursos de formação em moda no Brasil

RESUMO
Researching educational themes is amazing and needs a choice of a perspective to be followed at first. Among all the possible choices we chose academic fashion as the focus of this study, trying to understand the present situation of the fashion courses in Brazil. The research aims to understand how fashion field is represented in superior education. We came from the hypothesis that fashion courses prepare students in two different ways: fashion figurine and fashion production. We concentrate our work in the fashion courses at Faculdade Santa Marcelina and FURB as a reference of the formation centers in fashion, using them in a comparative analyses. The study of the sociological aspects analyses documents by Education Ministry that authorizes the institution to work and also that recognizes the courses offered in Brazil. We could perceive that the Brazilian formation field in fashion does not prepare students for a specific area, the physical structure and the professors have similarities, and the professional occupation in fashion field are guided by habitus and by the cumulative capital beyond many other political, geographical and economical aspects
