RESUMO

The goal of this study was to investigate the effect of different visual cues in the swim crawl learning to deaf students. Twenty two students of both sex, between 10 and 17 years of age participate of the study. The research involved two experimental groups (G 1 = cues through model and G2 = cues through figure and model) and three phases (pre-test, learning, and post-test). In both tests the groups were filmed and evaluated by "Crawl Swimming Evaluation Instrument". Movement pattem (swimming crawl), distance covered, and quantity of stop was used as measure af learning. The results of the intragroup analyses showed that both groups bettered the movement pattem of the pre to post-test (pO.05), however it shown difference between groups in the components two and three of the movement pattem (p
