RESUMO

This research aimed to study the subjective aspects of the inclusion in the work market experience with Down Syndrome youngsters. In order to investigate the reality of work of the youngsters it was used as a theoretical base the Historic-Cultural Psychology as proposed by Vigotski and Wallon. To collect data, interviews were held with three youngsters, their families and a professional of the institution, totalizing 7 subjects. Results suggested that there are some basic elements for the inclusion process and that they have to be considered by companies or institutions that prepare people for the process. For example, it can be mentioned the role of family to support, follow and evaluate the process; the importance of colleagues â group of peers â for the promotion of the incorporation of the work routine and the specific aspects of the required activities by the youngster. Besides, the real commitment and effort of the company that intends to include. On the other hand, it was also possible to access the difficulties these youngsters have to face in the daily routine of work, specially, in the rational and communicational issues, which have been solved by the effort and dedication these people have assumed in their process of work inclusion.
