RESUMO
The purpose of this work is to present a method for optimization of microwave routes in radio relay links, using decompositions techniques. The mathematical model is based on microwaves systems design criteria adopted in Brasil by the Empresa Brasileira de Telecomunicações S.A., EMBRATEL, and consists of a nonlinear objective function, several inequalities constraints, some of them nonconvex. The problem was solved by the dual decomposition techniques through the tangent approximation method. Some simulated exeamples and others real ones, were solved with the aid of an IBM 4341 computer.
