O Uso de Apresentações em Slides e de um Ambiente Virtual de Aprendizagem na Perspectiva de Promoção da Aprendizagem Significativa de Conteúdos de Colisões em Nível de Ensino Médio

RESUMO

This paper is about the construction and application of an instructional material, which approaches the collision topic, elaborated in order to make possible the process of meaningful learning, using the new information and communication technologies. This material was applied in a high schools first grade class, in the beginning of the second semester of the year 2006, in the school called Centro Educacional Dimensão, in the satellite city of Guara, in Brasilia, DF. This materials construction was based on the results of researches realized in the area and especially in David Ausubels meaningful learning theory. Gèrard Vergnauds conceptual fields theoretical referencial was also used as a complementary support. The produced material is composed of a series of slideshows lessons and a set of activities which can be used in the Moodle virtual environment. Besides constructing this material, we also produced some animations in order to make the process of meaningful learning easier. These animations take part in some slides and some of the virtual environment activities. The objective of this work was the investigation of the hypothesis that the new information and communication technologies, used as an educational resource based on the meaningful learning process, would be capable of making this kind of learning more effectively than the traditional resources. After the data was collected, with the application of tests before and after the material was used and also a complementary retention test, applied for the same students one year after the treatment, the results allow us to infer that there was meaningful learning. The students response, measure by means of their depositions, to the new instructional material was also considered satisfactory
