RESUMO
This master s thesis considers a production planning and control system proposed to the vaccine plant of Bio-Manguinhos, a public foundation with the mission of contributing to the improvement of public health standards, through technological research and the production of immunobiologicals. Bio-Manguinhos has grown significantly in last five years, and now requires adjustments in its planning process and its production management. The proposal presented in this thesis is composed of a hybrid model of production planning, composed of a module of MRPII, that addresses the planning of materials and other resources requirements and a fine capacity scheduler production that sets priorities among orders and supports optimization of resources. The expectation generated by the project is to enable Bio-Manguinhos to improve customer service and to qualify the company as a major vaccine producer.
