RESUMO

The present work results from an investigations process whose propose was to reconstruct by means of use, above all, from the procedures of oral history to the action of the school-master as professor a particular teacher of the scholar culture in Itaberaí Goiás, at first decades of the twentieth century. The delimitated period means a relevent moment in Brazilian education, a time that Itaberaí city, as others country districts of Goiás did not count with officially authorized to schools organization, for develepment of the teaching activities. It prevailed, in the domestic place refered period where one only master only taught to his/her students in his/her own house. It was sought the investigation of the historical memory of Itaberaí Goiás education, in the three first decades of the twentieth country, having as focus on school master in spaces terms of his/her teaching performance and of the abilities that assered to him/her to come into play the master function of scholar culture. With this problematic the work was directed to get at the following aims: a) To learn the historical meaning of the school master as a particular teacher of the scholar culture in Itaberaí Goiás, in the three first decades of the twentieth century, b) To reconstitute the found elements that expressed the way of life and the actions that refers to time and the action space of the school master; c) To comprise the house as a teaching and acting space of the school master; d) To apprehend elements that constitutes of the professor practical of the school master in the tripod terms read, write and count. This historical moment of Itaberaís education is analised for a look focused on defining feature of the school master identity showing up the professor practical front to the knowing and the transmission modelities. The analysis focus the attention in the instruction profect based on the read, Write and count as clearly identifiable ability of the educative action of the school master. The study shows up social and cultural conditions allowing to know as the knowings were legitimated in the Center of the families and which are the perspectives that these families had in relation to their childrens futere. The reseach associates the educational facts to the education history in Itaberaí, that lead the understanding of the social. Cultural conditions of the delimitated time.
