RESUMO

The objective of this work was to evaluate the impacts of the Program of Administrative Modernization in course in the State of Minas Gerais, denominated Management Impact Program (MIP), in the model of attendance rendered by the Regional Superintendency of Teaching (SRE) of Ponte Nova to the schools to her jurisdicionadas. Taking as theoretical-methodological referencial the importance of evaluating the public politics in Brazil, the methodological procedures, the category of variables and the stages of collection of data, the concepts of public administration and the new public administration were discussed (New Public Management), approaching, specifically, the social and education public politics. In that extent, the administrative organization, the general aspects of MIP and the education public politics adopted were approached, since 1995, in the State of Minas Gerais. With base in the collected data, it can be affirmed that, with MIP, the current the mining government obtained the financial balance of the bills of the State, however the same success was not reached in the social areas. In the education area it happened, starting from 2003, a strong budget reduction, affecting the whole work developed by SEE/MG, besides reducing the expenses with the maintenance of SREs (socket in the group of this politics as activity-middle), besides reducing the expenses with the activities-end of the General office, hindering her capacity to offer a quality teaching to the mining students, that it was the great objective proposed by SEE/MG for the period of 2003-2006, as declared in the document "Challenge for the Quality". Like this, it was verified that there was an orientation in the current apprenticeship of application of the strategies of MIP, being prioritized the financial results to the detriment of the expenses and the government s social results.
