O ENTENDIMENTO DE PROFESSORES E PROFESSORAS DO ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL SOBRE AS RELAÇÕES DE GÊNERO E SEXUALIDADE

RESUMO

The discussions about the relations of gender and the sexuality were intensified in the academic environment, in a search in order to understand how men and women, men and men, women and women have lived the identities of sexual gender. These discussions go toward an understanding about the relationships of gender and of sexuality as a cultural and social construction. Studies inside this context, has reached several issues and fields of investigation. Among these subjects and spaces, are found teachers of fundamental school and the school. This way, from these considerations and taking into account that the relations of gender and sexuality provides great influence in the construction of a person and the educational process unchained by the school environment it is a meaningful to inform that these relations among their students, this study had as its objective to analyze the teachers understanding of the 8th grade in a state school and in one of a private school in the city of Campina Grande PB about the relations of gender and sexuality. It was characterized as being an analytical-descriptive study, having as sample 10 participants, distributed like this: in the state school were interviewed 03 of the female sex and 02 of the male sex, in the same way in the private school were interviewed 03 of the female sex and 02 of the male sex. The tool of the data collecting was constituted in semi- structured interviews having open questions, the data were analyzed to the light of content, through the e results it was observed the existence of a non- familiarity of the interviewed students with the term relation to gender, characterized by the difficult to define this relation, to contextualize from the differences based on sex, but, when expressed their conceptions about what is to be a woman, what is to be a man and the participation of both in the society today, the interviewed students were led unintentionally to a gender of discussion, without doing this correlation of knowledge. About the understanding of the researched people referring to sexuality, it was noticed to be a discussion very familiar to their day by day, a theme that they show a high dominion, showing their positions before the heterosexuality, to homosexuality and bisexuality, highlighting aspects of difficult definition in the terms properly said in a certain measure. Reaffirming the strict traditional patterns for the relations between men and women. There is no space in planning of content in the school subjects for these issues they come out of the blue in the classroom and in these situations the teacher interferes. In the majority the interviewed teachers showed the necessity before the arouse of the thematic of gender and sexuality in the classroom, are prepared to discuss with the students, although they feel difficulties in dealing with these themes that are considered polemical for them. Thus, like this study, we could identify that the interviewed students were very little close to the discussion in the academic mean about the relations of gender in the presence of positioning not permissive for the sexuality living which are not heterosexuals. It was observed, yet, the recognition, by part of the interviewed teachers the importance of these themes to be developed together with the pupils, being necessary for this a higher preparation of them while dealing to these issues.
