O desenvolvimento do currículo e a criatividade do professor : uma reflexão em busca da qualidade da educação infantil

RESUMO

This research has as general objective investigate in the curriculum development teachers creativity, on the perspective of children educations quality. To do so, the research was based on the creativity comprehension as a complex process of humans subjectivity, Mitjáns Martínez theoretical position and on Gonzalez Rey`s Qualitative Epistemology. It was supported by two studies of cases, two teachers who teach five year-old children in the same public educational institution in the capital of Brazil. It was used three instruments then: half-structured interviews with the principal of this institution and these teachers; documental analysis of curriculum developed by the teachers, of the educational projects made during 2006 and of the class planning; and structured observation of the pedagogic work which was the main one. Based on the analysis of this information, it was possible to learn that the reflections on the current curriculum and on the elaboration of that made by the teachers were relevant for these professionals to be creative when developing the curriculum by taking part in the construction of the learning method function of the children education, in the criteria which define the teachers creativity within the educational and social context and the setting of the meaning of quality -, which has as a premise the students learning and development. Moreover, teachers creativity has an important role in the definition of the pedagogic work and in the quality of the children education. Therefore, it is possible to say that there are a link between the role of the teachers creativity in the development of the curriculum and the quality of the children education, since both the creativity presence in the pedagogic work and the subjacent quality have as a tenet the possibility of the educational practices in supporting students learning and development
