RESUMO

The purpose of this work is to analyze the utopia and the historical projects of the Associação de Educação Católica (Catholic Education Association) in Brazil, expressed in its triennal plans, and to show the necessity of reformulation of the educational concepts on educating to solidarity from an utopia on. In the first chapter we put in context the discourse of AEC utopian horizon and its action which is construed as historical projects. In the second chapter we analyze through the own triennial plans texts the tension between the Kingdom of God not fully feasible in History, and the Project of God wich is interpreted in historical projects that reveal the belief in society transformation through the unique principle of solidarity as the social system organizer. In the third chapter we will try to show that AEC discourse assumes the presupposition of modernity when it adopts solidarity as the only organizer principle of society and the resulting pedagogical proposal of a liberating education capable of making the wish of a just solidary society fully feasible. We will discuss the transcendental ilusion of an education that proposes ending with all ways of competition, selfishness and ambiguity of society to make it competely just and solidary and the feasibility of an education for solidary sensibility which makes historical projects where we can experience justice and solidarity partially in a broad and complex society without falling into frustration, as in that last way of education there is room for faith and hope that this utopian horizon fully come true in the transcendency of history
