RESUMO

The museum has changed. If the epistemological skip of XXI century is the art in net, it is also mentioned to the presence of the museums in the net and of the communicative processes that emerge in these new ways of organization. Human beings keep things. They once belonged, the pleasure of keeping tiny pieces of paper which unity them to events. With the introduction of the new technologies in our lives have changed. Thanks technological mechanisms, a museum without walls, without place appears. In ou In our computers it is virtually an imaginary museum, a digital collection that is kept each hard disk of ours. Directly linked to the idea of virtual space, the imaginary museums are look like independent entities. They are not inserted in any specific context or actual address. The objective of this research is to demonstrate that the virtual museum can be understood as a metaphor of the corporal and space organization of the human memory. In order to find connections among phenomena of heterogeneous nature, this thesis investigated art processes of evolution during XX century and the technology of the communication, contemporary subjects and the intelligent collectives, the university and the computer network, the body and the art museum. Rethinking the field of the performance art some questions have raised, seemingly pertinent capable to provoke ruptures in the traditional idea of museum. The main focus was quest of the bodys memory, mainly from Lygia Clarks Work, also references to others authors such as Paul Zumthor, Roselee Goldberg and Renato Cohen. The museums in the Internet and its links with some theories of communication and performance arise discussions relates to the culture and artistic production, conception of collections, canons and debates they are linked to, and authorial problems, among others.
