RESUMO

This thesis results of the confluence of two fields of interest: infantile labor in MaceiÃ/AL lagoon context and the social policy that proposes to eradicate it. It has been objectified to analyze the constitutive generational morale of the working culture and the constitutive universal morale of the culture of rights from the following categories: field, habitus and capital, related to Pierre Bourdieuâs theory. The study questions over infantile labor senses and this social policy that proposes to eradicate it. This questioning has been generated from the âlookâ of several social agents - children, adolescents and adults - in the context of symbolic dimensioning and structures related to micro-social and macro-social analysis. The field work has been conceived in the following spaces where the socialization of the children and adolescents seashell pickers happens - in the sururu productive chain, at the Program of Eradication of Labor (PETI) and at school - through interviews, focusable groups and surveys. The collected data show that the generational morale is present in the children and adolescentsâ seashell pickers everyday due to the fragile citizenship granted to them and to their families. This happens through the reproduction of the dominance relations of the capitalistic society that has, from an early age, made use of the precarious work of the children of the popular classes from a bodily hexis corelated to individual or collective history of children and adolescents. The analysis calls for debate the State dismissing process through social focusable policies and it evidences the disenchantment of the several agents with the culture of children rights. With this, it has been perceived that this culture of rights is yet to be objectified, to the ones who live in uncertain times in Maceio/AL lagoon coast. The obtained results indicate that children and adolescents live ambiguously in a society that demands from them a useful and productive life in detriment of the basic healthy infantile development needs. The research pinpoints the needs for social structure changes, as well as in the internal structures incorporated by workers of a lesser age, to modify the dominance relation existent in the fields where they are inserted in. Therefore, it evidences the need for investment in the needed capital for the breaking of the ideological representations that defend the infantile working culture in society.
