RESUMO

The aim of the work is to introduce a method of implementation of a quality management system for the space segment based on the quality system standard NBR 15100. The referred standard is the translation from AS 9100 of the intemational aerospace segment into Portuguese language, based on ISO 9001:2000. It is also presented an analysis of the interrelationship among the standards with the intention of a better understanding of the implementation process of the referred standard. The analysis of this standard inc1udes a history report of the AS 9100, its applicability and importance in the several types of organizations of the space segment, and, a comparison of the normative requirements according to the main authors of the quality. The method of implementation of the management system based on NBR 15100 uses questionnaire that punctuates the implanted system, verifies its suitability and applicability, and defines the necessary structures of the system and the stages of the implementation process. Concluding the implementation process, it is also presented the certification process by a certification/registration board of a quality management system based on the aerospace standard. The effectiveness of the method was verified, but it can be improved by organizations interested in the space segment. The method herein was adapted from the proposed implementation method of quality management system for the telecommunication segment
