Machado de Assis em Penápolis: percepção dos leitores sobre a leitura das obras do escritor

RESUMO

This paper is a result of a local research that was done in public and private libraries in the town of Penápolis, in São Paulo State. According to the theoretical concepts emphasized by the aesthetics of reception by Jauss and the theory of the implicit reader by Iser, the reading would be submited to the effect and reception of a work. Before the new conceptual aproach, we propose in this study to analyse the perception of the formal readers (students in school units) and informal (individuals who are not attending school, but have a home library of the author) about the reading of Joaquim Maria Machado de Assis works. We aim, therefore, to analyse, through the formal readers perception, the teachers teaching strategy and observe, overcoat, if the methodologycal practices used in class as a way of learning have become reading a paper more interactive. And we have tried to show how the library, as a reading space, has helped with the formation process of the reader.
