RESUMO

This study has as objective to analyze as the rise of the cultived area with soybean in the Paraná occurred, in the period from 1993 to 2003 and to trace a scene for the paranaense soybean up to 2015. For this, the international scene was described according to the area, to the production, to the demand and to the future perspectives of the soybean; the way of expansion of the soybean in Brazil and the perspectives around biodiesel derived from the soybean was characterized; and, analyzed the weight of the soybean in the paranaense economy. The results had shown that it offers world-wide of soybean will continue growing in the next years, exactly with the maintenance of the prices in the current levels. Brazil will assume the international leadership in area terms, production and commercialization of soybean and derivatives. For the side of the demand, the European Union, India and China will continue with the biggest volumes of importation. Factors as: growth of the population; increase of the per capita income; rise of the demand derived from the complex meat with birds, swines and bovines and not traditional the industrial uses of the soybean as biodiesel, will be the great inductors of the demand. With relation to the Paraná, the results had shown that the soybean is the main generating agricultural product of income and tributes of the State, being that the complex soybean occupies the first position in the guideline of exportations paranaenses. With to the evolution of the area destined to the culture of the soybean of the Paraná, the coffee and cotton had been used the reduction in the areas destined to, as well as, of the displacement of the area of the maize normal harvest for maize safrinha. In what it says respect to the perspectives for the next years, the projections made for the State of the Paraná will follow the same national and international trends in production terms, area, productivity and demand. However, of these projections the biggest difficulty meets in the incorporation of area for the culture. However, the possibilities will be given in substitution to the pastures, to the maize and the agriculture of mixing use. These facts show us that the soybean continues representing a paper of bigger importance for the paranaense economy and that, in contrast of that if it thinks, the soybean goes to strengthen its position in the Paraná and the national scene
