Implantação do CMMI : metodologia baseada na abordagem por processos

RESUMO

The search for high quality in information technology (IT) products and services has been a constant in the last decades and became one of the most important markets. The organizations are more and more dependent on this IT products and services. Therefore the competition in this market has been growing and the market share becoming more important. To attain the quality levels requested by costumers, the organizations are looking for quality models that may add value to their processes and products. One of the most respected and implemented models is the CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration). The main purpose of this research is to develop and define a methodology o systematize the CMMI implementation by a process supported on the Process Approach characteristics. To attain this purpose it was defined a framework of the research that contains process based theories, and it was defined a process for the implementation that was refined by experts opinion. The methodology adopted for the research is basically supported on the Process Approach and is completed by applying the interview technique to refine the process with the experts. The refinement allowed to improve some elements of the process and was possible to conclude that the process may ease the CMMI implementation by the fact that it amplifies the visibility of the organization, principally the high level management, to the phases and activities of CMMI implementation.
