RESUMO
From the experience of Helio Eichbauers work stage design in Brazil, this study aims to discuss the chief points and paradigms of designing for the stage beyond the History, relating scenographers and designers based on their same acting in developing projects. This study shows an experience developed in the early 70s, in Rio de Janeiro, recognized as an holistic teaching of Design, Scenography and Arts. Lastly, the author studies the specific case of stage design for the play O rei da vela (The candle king), written by Oswald de Andrade and directed by José Celso Martinez Corrêa in 1967. He shows the creation process of meaning by the visual and space composition
