RESUMO

Several researches about germination of seeds and emergency of native species seedling have been accomplished, however, considering the great diversity of species of the Brazilian flora, the available information are still scarce. In that sense, the present study (L.) has as objective to develop protocols for the study of the germination and initial growth of Eschweilera ovata Cambess. Miers., Trema micrantha (L.) Blume. and Ficus tomentella Miquel. seedling and this way to contribute to analysis and technology of forest seeds. For Eschweilera ovata Cambess. Miers seeds. The illustrations of the external and internal morphological characteristics were made for supplying subsidies in the identification of the fruit, seed and seedlings, as well as the germination type. To overcome of the dormancy of Trema micrantha (L.) Blume seeds. Besides the intact seeds were accomplished the following treatments pre-germinatives: chemical scarification with sulfuric acid for 10 minutes and 20 minutes; immersion of the seeds in boiling water at 100C for five seconds and 10 seconds; immersion of the seeds in hot water at 80C for 60 minutes; soak of the seeds for 24 hours in solution of potassium nitrate to 0,5%. The substrates were moistured with solutions of potassium nitrate in the concentrations of 0,04% and 0,2%. To verify the acting germinative, the seeds of Ficus tomentella Miquel. they were submitted to different temperatures (20, 30, 35C and 20- 30C) and substrate (on sand, sugar cane bagasse, paper towel, coconut fiber, sisal waste, peat and vermiculite). Eschweilera ovata Cambess. Miers presents hypogeal germination and the seedling was classified as criptocotyledonar. The chemical scarification of Trema micrantha (L.) Blume seeds with sulfuric acid for 10 minutes and 20 minutes, with the substrate moistured with the solution of potassium nitrate to 0,04%, and the soak of seeds for 24 hours in solution of potassium nitrate to 0,5%, with the substrate moistured with solution of potassium nitrate to 0,2%, they were efficients for the overcome of dormancy, favoring the germinative potential and vigor of the seedlings. The length of the seedlings was not influenced by the concentrations of potassium nitrate used in the moisture of the substrate. The substrate on coconut fiber and the constant temperatures of 25C and 30C and the alternate of 20-30C can be recommended for germination and vigor tests of seeds of Ficus tomentella Miquel. For the substrate on sand and vermiculita to 30C and 20-30C promoted the larger and faster germination. The substrate paper towel allowed good acting germinative of the seeds and larger length of the primary root of the seedlings at 20-30C.The temperature of 35C is not indicated for the germination and vigor tests and of seeds of figueira-roxa.
