RESUMO

This work is meant to show the study about the trajectory of Alfredo Roberto Alves movie Fernão Dias, wich was produced in Campinas in 1956. The movie represents the beginning and the end of Campinas second movié period, comprising besides it own development, other movies and their directors that belong to the same period. The adopted approach is divided in two distinct chapters: 1-The movie Fernão Dias and its own relations: The relations established with Campinas s first movie period in the 1920 s. Amilar Alves, who directed João da Matta, produced in Campinas in 1923, was also the author of the play Fernão Dias, which was adapted to be a movie, by his son, Alfredo Roberto Alves. Fernão Dias, its period and influences. The outcoming of São Paulo s movie industry brings up the old desire of establishinf Campinas s movie production back. Other productions movie directors like Antoninho Hossri, Henrique de Oliveira Júnior e Femando Gardel.
