RESUMO

This work had as objective to evaluate eleven genotypes of banana tree in two cycles of production . The experiment was led in the period of May 2002 to September 2004 in Lemos Maia Experimental Station ? CEPLAC - Una/BA. The plantation was in the space of 3 x 3 m in hollows of 40 x 40 x 40 cm, being used seedling produced by micropropagation. The experimental delineation was made in blocks with eleven treatments and four repetitions, Each element was constituted by 20 plants, with six useful plants. Were evaluated the hybrids PV42-85, PV42-142, PV42-68, PA42-44, FHIA 02, Calipso and Ambrósia and the commercial varieties Pacovan, Prata Anã, Grande Naine and Nanicão. The characters had been evaluated Weekly through : height of plant; diameter or the pseudocaule 30cm of the soil, date of the harvest, numbers of alive leaves in the harvest, number of repents in the first cycle of production, weight of the cluster (kg), number of hands, number of fruits, weight of hands (kg), average weight of fruits (g), length of the fruit (cm), diameter of the fruit (cm) and thickness of the rind (mm) The results had been submitted to the analysis of variance and the averages grouped for the test of Scott &Knott in level of 5% of probability. For evaluation of broca-do-rizoma was utilized the delineation of bocks with four repetitions and five decoys for parcel, totalizing 20 decoys of the type tile was used changed each 15 days, during 12 months. For the evaluation individual counting of the insects/decoy number was effected, weekly, being carried through analysis of variance and test of Scott &Knott 5% of probability. At the time of the harvest, the plants had been cut next to the ground , becoming fullfilled evaluation of the occurrence of the drill for the method praised for Mesquita (1985), attributing to notes in accordance with the level of damage measured in the face cut of pseudostem. It had difference in the behavior of the evaluated materials, being distinguished the hybrids Calipso and Ambrosia. The incidence of broca-do-rizoma was below of the level of control, being necessary a specific study evaluating the tolerance of these genotypes.
