RESUMO

In this work we designed,analyzed and developed heat pipes both in the theoretical and experimental viewpoint. In the experimental part, we designed, manufactured and tested some heat pipes getting,comparing and analyzing their principal parameter which are own thermal condutance and the maximum rate of heat changed. With our geometrical optimization we could increase the maximum rate of heat changed,tiel 38%. We analyzed the effect of the inclination in the performance of heat pipe and verified the influence qf the quantity of the work fluid in this same performance In the theoretical part, we developed and solved equa tions for the vapor flow, first through a semi-analitical model, obtained by variables separation and after with a numerical model through finite diference obtaining all the parameter of the flow, such as pressure and velocity field ...Note: The complete abstract is available with the full electronic digital thesis or dissertations
