Estudo preliminar do processo de comunicação e de gestão do conhecimento em uma organização militar brasileira

RESUMO

The present research aimed studying, before anything, the communication process and the knowledge management within the Diretoria de Efetivos e Movimentações, a Brazilian Army organization. So as to guide such studies, objectives have been identifying the relevant aspects of communication, and the variables of the institutional culture that interfere in knowledge management; plotting characteristics of the knowledge management itself that favor the institutional learning; and to construct actions that possible to contribute with the organizational communication and the knowledge management to facilitate the organizational learning. The methodological basis was the qualitative research, and the instruments used in data collection were structured interviewing and documental analysis. The results point indications to the scenery of a favorable working environment in the organization towards a execution of the ir activities; however, it does not employ, at full capacity, the communication means available; there are no seminars or lectures about relevant subjects, which might stimulate dissemination, knowledge exchange and learning; the knowledge management mechanisms have been timidly used, and the communication process existing inside the institution is not effective, making it difficult for the dissemination of information and for the exchanging of knowledge.
