RESUMO
The aim of this work is to study the Web search technologies, focusing mainly on algorithms used. Firstly, we present a brief history of the search engines, followed by a detailed description of a search engine main components and algorithms. Particularly, we studied two important link analysis algorithms: the PageRank (used by Google) and IDTS (used by Teoma). We also studied the details of real implementation of the commerciaI search engine Google. Finally, we describe 3D experience, performed by us, to check how much of the Web is indexed by Google
