RESUMO

This thesis investigates the possibilities that the digital media opens for the poetic text, as well as the consequences that the cyberspace environments can have upon this type of work. The hypotheses are: the hybrid language of the hypermedia medium widens the signic field; epistemological changes operate in the notion of text; animation and 3D resources widen the polysemic character of the text; the texts incompleteness suggests the rallying of the reader in the process of co-creation. The philosophical reference for the theoretical construction is grounded in the system proposed by Peter Sloterdijk in the trilogy Spheres, specially in Spheres III: Foams e in the formulations of Martin Heidegger concerning the relation between artwork and space. It deals with the analyses of the fluid relations established in the post-modernity, specially referring to space in its physical aspects and the relations. Two other theoretical referrals used are the concept frictions according, Vera Casa Nova, and theories linked to the formation and aesthetics of the hypertext, according to Landow, Deleuze, Guattari, Lévy, among others. Among the objects of analyses are: Dreamlife of Letters, by Brian Kim Stefans, Amor-mundo ou a vida esse sonho triste, by Rui Torres, Nuno M. Cardoso, Jared Tarbell, Filipe Valpereiro, Nuno F. Ferreira, Luís Aly and Sérgio Bairon, O Palavrador, by Fernando Aguiar, Álvaro Andrade Garcia, Chico Marinho, Alckimar Luiz dos Santos and Tania Fraga, Community of Words, by Silvia Laurentiz and Martha Gabriel, Interpoesia, by Philadelpho Menezes and Wilton Azevedo, Poemas Encontrados by Rui Torres, Jared Tarbel and Nuno Ferreira, SOS, by Augusto de Campos, Pessoa, by Arnaldo Antunes. These are works that explore the language of the digital medium from the perspective of re-readings of texts earlier published in conventional format the paper and others intrinsically founded in this space. One may see, in the objects of analysis, a concern about the spatialization of the text in line with the digital factors in such a way that texts arise that depend fundamentally on the environment in which they are inserted to take form. For the analysis, ideas will be applied related to the semiotic of Peirce and their adequacy to the digital and hypermedia medium, for it is important the chasm with the dichotomous reading of texts and the decentralization of the subject with whom this author works. The research strategies: bibliographic research; interviews with artists and specialists in the relationship art/technology; Experiment analysis that, in the printed media, already expose characteristics of the digital poetry to test the hypothesis that digital poetry is the realization of something that the poetic language already rallied when published in other formats out of the hypermedia; construction of the Penelope experiment as a creation proceedings test that contemplate the action of poetic creation, in its spatialities, conjugated to the participation of the reader
