RESUMO
This work aims to discuss and explore the existent interpenetrations between psychoanalysis and literature, employing the study of the proustian classic In Search of Lost Time, a as a means to question the notion of Time. The psychoanalytical approach is based on the theory of Freud and Lacan. Primarily, time within history and its impacts on how each individual deals with his/her own temporality is questioned. Following, the narrative under analysis is brought to the context and thought as fundamental to the construction of temporality, and, considering this thought, the narrative approximates, significantly, to what we understand as literary creation, since reality, within psychoanalysis, has a fiction structure. Finally, it is defended that it is necessary to subvert what we understand as chronological time, as a means to think on, particularly, three ways of experiencing time: time covered, recovered and discovered. These ways are mingled to a point that makes impossible for an individual to be included exclusively within one of them.
