RESUMO

In a high competitive market, companies seek organization to accelerate the process of acquiring and transmitting the fundamental knowledge regarded to the company strate-gies. Transforming non-structured information into useful knowledge to innovate organizational processes is highly related to the personal and professional competences. Nowadays, one of the highlighted ways to do this is to use the organizational models aimed to the learning e self-development of professionals, seeking to surpass the needs of management competences and to position one competitively. It is what has been cal-led Cooperative Education. However, investments on this have noticeably been done by large organizations, due to the costs involved. In one hand, small companies face big challenges imposed by the new economical rules and need, more than ever, capable pro-fessionals to deal with those challenges. In this context, this work searches the identifi-cation of gaps regarded to the training and making professionals in management positi-ons capable. The active companies of small and medium sizes in the retailer commerce of Distrito Federal will be the targets of the present work. Supported by class associati-ons interested in the approach of this essay, a sample of the member companies of ACDF â AssociaÃÃo Comercial do Distrito Federal (CADF â Commercial Association of the Distrito Federal) â will be analyzed. In this way, the companiesâ needs and the analyses of the possibilities of this organizationsâ development will be raised, through the gaps identified by the researchesâ results.
