Discussão epistemologica da produção de teses de programas de pos-graduação na area da saude reprodutiva

RESUMO

Considering the contemporary trends that dinamize critic to the new scientific knowledge (epistemology) and the insufficiencies in the process of production-teach-use of new knowledge in the medical area, which compose significant part of the reality in the academic formation, this research chooses as inquiry subject the critic investigations of epistemology in the subject of Reproductive Health. The revision of Theory epistemological elements encloses authors related to the Philosophy and the History of Science, with remark for the work of Edgar Morin. The critical performances of the technical-professionals that insist on reproducing the model of Newtonian-Cartesian thought together with the conscience of new trans-disciplinal perspectives, show following hypotheses: a) an academic production of post-graduation stricto sensu courses, in the area of the Reproductive Health, present insufficient levels of epistemological discussion related to the views of person, health, science, ethics; b) the processes of production of new knowledge (research) and divulging (education) keep the tradition to discipline and they do not present enough theoretic-methodological elements that indicate favorable conditions to work, with clarity, under the approach to trans-disciplinal. General objective: To analyze the level of (critic) epistemological discussion and theoretician-methodological aspects existing in the subject of programs of post-graduation in São Paulo State universities, in the area of the Reproductive Health (Gynecology, Obstetrics, Mastology). Specific objectives: To verify the existence, or inexistence, of discussions about theoretician-epistemological questions, as well as their level of examinations in thesis elaborated for programs of post-graduation in São Paulo state universities, with election of the production in Gynecology, Obstetrics and Mastology (Reproductive Health). b) To verify if the standards of theoretician-methodological organization support adequate discussions and the estimated ones that they strengthen the logic of the approach to discipline in detriment of the approach to trans-disciplinary view. c) To identify relative epistemological elements related to the views of person, health, science and ethics, which have to emerge of the analyzed texts. Method: The sample was composed for fifteen thesis (five/USP - Ribeirão Preto, five/UNICAMP - Campinas and five/UNESP - Botucatu). The inclusion of the works followed the chronological criterion (most current defended between the years of 2004 and 2005), considering the criterion of saturation of the elements collected in the categories of analysis as question for the final delimitation of the sample. Related to the methodological type of this research, it was opted to the aleatory. The process of hermeneutic analysis (interpretation) is made through repeated readings of all the selected material, with attention to four categories: Vision of Person, Vision of Health, Vision of Science and Vision of Ethics. Conclusions: the citizen notion is to the edge in the biggest part of the texts, and the works have specific concern with the research object, in the category person vision; the health vision continuously is tied with the valuation of the inclusion of interventionist techniques; the science vision assumes and reproduces protocols with rationalists, technicists, biologists characteristics, which denounce the maintenance of the logic of the traditional paradigm; the ethic view keeps strait bond with the characteristics of a model of materialistic ethics.
