RESUMO
Diptera were analysed associated to the process of the decomposition of Sus Scrofa. carcasses which have been exposed in a savanna pasture area at Fazenda Água Limpa, Universidade de Brasília, Distrito Federal, Brazil in August 2003 (first experiment) and June 2004 (second experiment). The study was fulfilled due to the lack of information on the diversity of diptera in the Planalto Central savanna and to increase of interest related to forensic entomology in Brazil associated to necrophagious insects, particularly the flies, emphasizing the Calliphoridae for its relation with medic, veterinay and sanitary issues, besides being a group whos presence is constant in the decomposition process. Were collected 73.865 specimens of nine orders (Diptera, Hymenoptera, Coleoptera, Orthoptera, Lepidoptera, Neuroptera, Hemiptera, Blattaria and Mantodea), using the Shannon like trap, from the two experimental stations. The major part (70.447) of these belong to the Diptera one. The most appearing typics were, respectively, Muscidae, Calliphoridae and Sarcophagidae. Among the blow flies, eight species were identified: Chrysomya albiceps, Chrysomya megacefalla, Cochliomya macellaria Chloroprocta idioidea, Hemilucilia segmentaria, Hemilucilia semidiaphana, Phaenicia cuprina and Phaenicia eximia. Chrysomya albiceps was the most recurrent species throughout the decomposition process. During the carrions decomposition, five stages were observed: initial, bloated, decay, dry and rest. The second and the third stages seemed to be the most attractive to the blow flies. The decomposition process was studied in the two experimental units during 31 days
