RESUMO

This work aims to study the open spaces in the Municipal District of Campinas: how they are being used by population and how itâs improving the environment. In order to do that, it was chosen for study a part of the east area of the district, where there are five lower and media power habitational sets with itâs respective free area systems. In this way, we have a link between the character of use of these areas, along with itâs intensity of use and the ecological contribution that they offer to the Municipal District. Annexed to this study there is too an analysis of how the public power of Campinas is acting and planning itâs open space systems.
