RESUMO

This work consist in the development of a mo deI for the determination of operating rules for a multiple-reservoir-system with multiple uses of water. The methodology used was based on the work from Mohammad Karamouz, formed by three steps, dynamic programming, multiple regression and simulation, working in a cyclic procedure. The methodology was used in the Alto-Paraiba system. The water uses considered in this study were hydropower generation, irrigation, minimum flows downstream from the system, and pumping flow in Paraiba-Piraí. The model allowed in the analysis of the performance from diferent variables of the system, submitted to the rules achieved in the cyclic procedure
