RESUMO

This current master-degree dissertation attempts to make a theoreticall approach as to investigate the creativity and its implications on the psychic human constitution regarding the thoughts of S. Freud and D. W. Winnicott, leading to two prisms: the defensive model of creativity, and creativity as a universal proposition to all but a defensive model. An incursion into the Freudian studies was initially necessary aiming to exam the defense as a creative process; in order to do so, an analysis on the structure and functionality of the psychic apparatus was made. During the process, it was made an analysis focused on the sublimatory defensive modality, present not only in the creative acts, but also in all psychic processes. Finally, the winnicotian studies, which formulates the creativity in terms of living creatively, were taken into consideration as a universal proposition, inherent to all forms of life, that, in perfect health conditions, is genuinabily capable of creating the world by trying it in a magic, active, and ludicrous way.
