CONTRIBUIÇÕES DO CURSO DE PEDAGOGIA PARA ATUAÇÃO COM CRIANÇAS DE 0 A 3 ANOS

RESUMO

This research investigates the contribution of initial teacher training on the Pedagogy course, to the practice of teachers working with children aged zero to three years. For this, it seeks to identify, through interviews with teachers, the contributions made by the initial training course, for working with this age group, and the support it offers for day-to-day work with the children. The theoretical bases used are the premises of de Novoa (1992, 1995), Tardif (2002), Pimenta (2005), Formosinho and Kishimoto (2002) Dahlberg, Moss and Pence (2003); and Zabalza (1998). The data collection was carried out, firstly, with the Municipal Education Secretary of Brusque, carrying out a survey to identify teachers working with children aged from zero to three years. The Municipal Network of Brusque currently has 53 teachers in the 12 institutions that serve this age group Within this universe of 53 teachers, 14 teachers took part in the research, who are trained in Pedagogy with specialization in Pre-School and Initial Series, or Child Education. The interviews were transcribed in full and from there, we began the reading of the responses, highlighting the important points of each response given. In the interviews, five themes were addressed: Entry to the Profession, Positive Points of Working with the Age Group zero to three years, Negative Points of Working with the Age Group zero to three years, Contributions of the Pedagogy Course, and Support for Working with children from zero to three years. Based on the analysis of the interviews, there is a consensus among the teachers in relation to the low contribution of the Pedagogy Course, since it contributed little to working with child education, and was more focused on the 1st to 4th grades. This research is not intended to present solutions in relation to the pedagogy course, but to rethink the initial training of these teachers, taking into account the different knowledge and reflecting on the specific characteristics of training for teachers of children aged zero to three years.
