RESUMO

This work aims to reflect on the contemporary variation of the relation between literature and market, considering it a relational instance that enables and guarantee the development of artistic practices, at the same time as it modifies and distorts the strictly commercial goals that are almost inevitable to the market. Based on the analysis of Berkeley em Bellagio and Lorde, by João Gilberto Noll, we intend to reflect on a form of coexistence between literature (or art in general) and the market which doesn't imply acceptance or agreement to the hegemonic devices of the cultural industry. On the contrary, one that shows the disruptive capacity of artistic practices with regard to the aligning effects (in cultural terms) of the economic logic, but from a perspective that considers this relation as a positive one.
