RESUMO

From the investigation of the causes of the marginalization of Brazilian cinema in its own market, taking as parameter the development of actions of a the third sector project that sought to democratize the access of national movies to the public school teachers, this research discusses on issues involving the relationship between cinema and education, highlighting the potential of Brazilian cinema in the representation of national issues and also in a perspective of audiovisual expression of school communities.
