CARACTERIZAÇÃO HISTÓRICA, JURÍDICA E AMBIENTAL DO LAGO DE PARAÚNA/GO SOB OS ASPECTOS DA SUSTENTABILIDADE

RESUMO

The Lake of Paraúna is located in the eastern sector of the municipality of the same name to 155 km of Goiânia, in the state of Goias, built for spas and inaugurated in 2004. It has an area of 66.121,65 m, offers easy access to all social levels, including the tourists who visit the region regularly, becoming a point of recreation and socialization. It is a shallow lake of 7 to 8 meters in depth and is not protected by physical barriers such as mountains. It presents various sources and courses d `water that ensure good water availability in the presence of the little sheets of water depth. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the historical aspects, legal and environmental aspects of Lake Paraúna under the aspects of sustainability, as well as assess the quality of water for balneabilidade in physical, chemical and microbiological, according to the existing legislation. Resolution No. 274 of CONAMA, 29/11/2000 establishing the criteria for the quality of freshwater, brackish and saline for balneabilidade. The parameters number of total coliform and fecal; temperature, pH, color, turbidity, conductivity, dissolved oxygen and biochemical oxygen demand were used. Surface water samples were collected from June 2006 to February 2007, in six different points in triplicate, in the mean depth of 50 cm. The results showed that is fit for purpose spas. Small rates of fecal coliforms (85% of the samples below 200 NMP/100mL) were observed, thus the water was classified as excellent. The physic-chemical results were below the limits established by current legislation.
