Caracterização geologica e geoestatistica de reservatorio carbonatico da Bacia de Campos

RESUMO

Carbonate reservoirs have lower recovery factors than those found in turbidite fields of Campos Basin, due to the presence of heterogeneities in several scales. In the studied reservoir, the most prominent heterogeneity is related to the flow units with different petrophysicals values, which cause higbly nonuniform fluid flow patterns. Identification of the electrofacies was performed by discriminant analysis. The categorical variables - "depositional model" and "subzone" - proved to be useful discriminators. The proposed geological depositional model supported the identification of the electrofades. Flow units of the studied reservoir were defined based on both geological and geostatistical description. The results obtained from the stochastic modelling were compared with those of geologica1 interpretation. Several possible interwell distributions of the flow units were generated by indicator sequential simulation, using theoretical, continuous and pepitic sem1variogram models
