Avaliação de ensaios simulativos de corrosão e biocorrosão em sistemas estático e dinâmico de revestimentos aplicados em aço carbono

RESUMO

The global cost caused by the corrosion represents a high economical loss. Several are the attempts of to retard the corrosion process, standing out the use of metallic and organic coatings. In this work, the anticorrosive properties coatings applied on carbon steel used in the industrial areas as alternatives of anticorrosive protection were investigated, being them painting system, hot-dip galvanization and duplex system, that it consists in the association of the galvanization and painting. The tests were accomplished in static immersion system and in dynamic system of the type looping, containing sea water of the Port and Industrial Complex of SUAPE (Ipojuca PE), where it is installed the Pernambuco Thermoelectrical Company (TERMOPE). For evaluation of the biocorrosive in the process of metal base deterioration and of the coatings, the immersion test in static system was accomplished in two conditions: sterile sea water (with biocide) and not sterile sea water (without biocide), being monitored along the time the microbiologics parameters of the sea water. For evaluation of the anticorrosive protection coatings, the electrochemical control was used through the measure of Open Circuit Potential (OCP) and of the technique of Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS). The EIS came quite sensitive to the presence of defects in the coatings and it also presented answers differentiated for the behavior of the coatings in half sterile and half not sterile. The looping test was shown more severe than the test in static system, being the corrosivity obtained in each system, respectively classified as high and moderate. The process biocorrosive for the static system had an approximate contribution 15,27% for the corrosion observed in the metal no covered, after 75 days of exhibition in sea water. The biofilm formation process along the time was more accentuated in the dynamic system, where, due to the process of water recirculation was observed a significant increase in the amount of present microorganisms in the middle
