Avaliação de conhecimentos e atitudes dos cirurgiões dentistas em relação ao diagnóstico do câncer bucal : um estudo em Porto Velho - RO

RESUMO

It has as objective to evaluate the perfessionalgrahie profile and the level of bothe knowlege and the attitudes of the dental surgeons DS s practicing in the Municipality of Porto Velho in the state of Rondônia, in relationship to the diagnosis of buccal cancer. A questionnaire was used as the tool for colleeting data tested and valiadated by Morais (2003). This tool contains two block groups of questions including proportional punctual values pertinent to the importance of the knowledge and diagnosis which complement the two essential aspects: the clinical characteristics as well as the risk factors. The datum collected stastically with the aid of the Epi software version 3.4.3. As far as the characteristics of clinics (BLOCK 1) about 70% of the samples, presented inferior results of 50%. Measured on a scale of 0-8, the measurement was 3.7 and on this same scale, 50% of the samples presented results below 4.0. In the block of risk factors (BLOCK 2) the average obtained was that of 1.5, measured from 0-2 wish 72,2% of the sample above this measurement. For the overall concept, the measurement obtained on the scale of 0- 10, was approximately 5.0 situated on the scale referring to concepts (Section 3.6) like C (4.0 6.0). The majority of the samples, around 75% obtained unsatisfactory results (below 60%), demonstrating the umfamiliarity in regards to the bucal cancer diagnosis.
