In the clinical and epidemiological profile there was higher incidence of obesity in women, hypertensive patients in treatment with altered blood pressure levels, those with a history of hospitalization, development of complications and difficulty in adhering to non-medicated treatment. Regarding adherence, coronary risk and overall quality of life, it was observed that the vast majority were categorized as nonadherent, with coronary risk and a variable average of quality of life in four areas. About the existence of an association between socio-economic and clinical epidemiological variables stipulated in this study, with coronary risk, therapeutical adherence and the quality of life of elderly patients with hypertension, statistical significance was only found in the intersecting/ overlapping of the existence of adherence to optimal or normal blood pressure, and between the change of blood pressure level and the presence of coronary risk. It was concluded that there was an association between blood pressure level, adherence to treatment and coronary risk. There were no significant associations with quality of life.
