Atividade de marcenaria e etnomatemática: Possibilidades num contexto de formação de professores

RESUMO

This work aims to develop a study and analysis based on Etnomathematics program about a carpenter activity. We intend to understand the mathematic knowledge involved in this activity. The second objective is to take this kind of knowledge to the classroom, mainly, considering the context of teachers. The carpenters interviewed, belong to a social group that develop a kind of a job like a craftsmen. We interest in community activity because they are very easy to find it. This study started considering: Etnomathematics researches, a kind of successful job done by many teenagers students using a cupboard, and because there is no researchers about this in a regular classroom. In some points this work involves: how the public teacher would like to find a new knowledge, how a master student has an interest in a performance of a new teachers, and how a carpenter manual can be used in a basic school
