RESUMO

The use of chemical products in the combat to diseases caused by phytopathogenics fungi , besides having a high cost, it causes problems to the environment and the man, determining serious damages to the natural biota of the soil, besides contributing for the development of the microbial resistance. The biological control, using actinomicetos producing of antibiotics, it is an alternative for these problems. It was evaluated in vitro the potential antagonism of actinomycetes with having recognized antifungical activity, belonging the Collection of Cultures of the Department of Antibiotics of UFPE, against two isolated of Botrytis cinerea, pathogen of the grapevine (Vitis sp). The antifungical activity was determined by the methods of the gelose block, diffusion in paper disk and unit of Waksman. Of the 63 tested lineages, 19 presented activity, for the test of the gelose block. Five these, showed halos same or superior to 40 mm diameter for at least one of the isolated ones and they were selected for the diffusion test in disk, in conventional media of production of antibiotics (MPE and M-1) and alternative media using residues of the industries of the corn (âmilhocinaâ) and of the beer (barley). Five alternative media were formulated, containing different concentrations of nitrogen. The lineages DAUFPE-8631B and DAUFPE-11470, stood out in the conventional means, presenting the largest inhibition halos in the times of 96 and 72 hours of fermentation, respectively and they were tested with the alternative media. The taxonomic study of these two lineages demonstrated that both belong to the genus Streptomyces. The media with âmilhocinaâ showed better results, standing out the Mi-2, (concentration of same nitrogen the one of half M1). The fhytochemical study of the crude extract of the lineage DAUFPE-11470 demonstrated the predominance of phenols, flavonones, flavonoids, xantones and quaternary bases. The obtained results allow to concluded that the lineages DAUFPE-8631-B and DAUFPE-11470 of Streptomyces, are potentially usable in the biological control of Botrytis cinerea, and that the âmilhocinaâ can substitute the soy flour as source of nitrogen in the production media, constituting a viable alternative, in the elimination of the problems caused by the oil of the soy, in the extraction of the active beginning
