RESUMO

The services of public health and professional intervention are based upon principles of humanization politics, which those fundamentals are discussed on this research. This study aims to apprehend the social representations to patients and health professionals about the quality of attention in ambulatory clinic of gastroenterology and cardiology. The research supports in theory of social representations, of Moscovici(1978) and Jodelet(1984). The participants complies 60 users and 18 health professionals. It used the interview semi-structured and the Test of Free Association of Words having four stimulus: suffering, patient, professional and medic attendance. The data were processed in Tri-Deux-Mots software and interpreted by Factorial Analysis of Correspondence. The analysis of interviews occurred through technique of analysis of thematic category content of Bardin(1977). The social representations of users and health professional are expressed in to five themes: aspects of sickening lived by users before and during the treatment; professional intervention to decrease the sickening of users; relation of sickening with users quotidian; relation between medic attendance and dynamics of treatment; social representation of attendance in ambulatory. With basis in the results, observes that, relating the stimulus suffering, the users highlight the waiting. To professionals, the answers to this stimulus were sadness and death. Regarding stimulus patient, highlights, in positive side of users, the words: suffering, exam, treatment, appointment, disease and health. We identify in opposite extreme, that professional worthies the listening. To users, the representation to stimulus professional relates with good relationship and good attendance. The words evoked by professionals for this stimulus were: responsible, competent, ethical, attention. Regarding the stimulus medic attendance, the users underline the good attendance, the explanation and the listening. The professionals represent the attendance as responsible and with quality. The participant of gastroenterology recognize the suffering as lack of job, depression and loneliness. To cardiology, this stimulus was not voiced. The representation of stimulus patient, to participants of gastroenterology, refers to cure. The representation of users of cardiology relates with the words: patience, disease, health and hearing. The representation of stimulus professional to participants of ambulatory of gastroenterology refers to be capacitated. To component of cardiology, this stimulus is regard to be responsible, competent and relation of help. Regarding the stimulus medic attendance, we observe that, to gastroenterology, the attendance relates with medicine, quality, expertise and good professional. The component of cardiology represent the medic attendance as responsible and hearing. The qualitative research serves to consolidate this result, so in perception of users and health professionals, the attendance in ambulatory reveals a dimension of humanization and care to health.
