Introduction: The Man´s Health in recent years emerged as a worldwide concern because of unfavorable health situation of the male population in relation to women, present for decades and evidenced primarily by an increased risk of death. Among the main factors that undermine men s health is violence. Objective: To understand the involvement of men with violence in the allowance of Hannah Arendt s Political Theory that explains violence in a socio-relational perspective. Methodology: This is a qualitative study. The research subjects were the residents of Ribeirão das Neves-MG and the methodological procedures used were focus groups with men and women, organized by the city s administrative regions and age of the participants. This research is linked to the NÚCLEO de Promoção de Saúde e Paz da FMDMPS- UFMG. Results: With the help of the Political Theory of Hannah Arendt and the light of empirical information obtained by the methodological procedures used, instead of looking at violence as a matter determined by the condition of the man or woman, it was possible to interpret it as resulting from potential domination in relations between the actors, each other, and this domination result of social conditions, social roles and skills and specific features of each, which together define the types of violence, the space in which it occurs, the victim, the offender and used instruments. Conclusion: Use of isolated facts as statistics, cultural stereotypes or even biological theories to argue that men are more violent than women can set up a premature and segmented analysis; explaining the reasoning and further depth context allow clarify other aspects this important issue.
